Person-Centred Counselling is a non-directive mode of therapy. The client is given a warm and accepting space to explore the current issue/s in his/her own way with a counsellor who is able to listen deeply and empathically. A trusting therapeutic relationship is developed whereby deeper processing is possible, often giving rise to new insights and awareness. Talking about and exploring painful or troublesome issues in this way can help to alleviate the sense of being overwhelmed, and can help you to cope. Through the process of Person-Centred Counselling you can expect to gain a greater sense of self-acceptance and clarity.
